NetJets
NetJets, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is a leading private aviation company offering fractional ownership, leasing, and management of private business jets. Founded in 1964 as Executive Jet Aviation, it pioneered the concept of fractional jet ownership in 1986, allowing individuals and businesses to purchase shares in private jets, thereby providing the benefits of private aviation without the complexities of full ownership.
The company's operations are diverse, encompassing fractional ownership programs, jet card services, and aircraft management. Clients can purchase a fraction of an aircraft, granting them a specified number of flight hours annually, or opt for the Marquis Jet Card, which offers 25-hour increments of flight time without long-term commitments. NetJets also provides aircraft management services, handling the logistics and maintenance for owners of private jets.
NetJets boasts the world's largest private jet fleet, with over 800 aircraft as of July 2022. The fleet includes various models to accommodate different travel needs, such as the Embraer Phenom 300, Cessna Citation XLS, Cessna Citation Sovereign, Cessna Citation Latitude, Bombardier Challenger 350, Cessna Citation Longitude, Bombardier Challenger 650, Dassault Falcon 2000EX, Bombardier Global 5500, Bombardier Global 6000, and Bombardier Global 7500.
NetJets operates globally, serving regions including North America, Europe, and China. In Europe, NetJets Europe functions as a subsidiary, offering tailored services to the European market. The company has also expanded into China through a joint venture, NetJets China Business Aviation Limited, focusing on aircraft management and charter services.
With a commitment to safety, luxury, and flexibility, NetJets continues to lead in the private aviation industry, adapting to the evolving needs of its clientele worldwide.
