Mountain Air Cargo

Mountain Air Cargo (MAC) is a well-established cargo airline headquartered in North Carolina, specializing in feeder services for FedEx Express. Founded in 1974, MAC operates a fleet of over 50 aircraft, including Cessna C208 Caravans and ATR-42/72 turboprops. The airline services numerous routes across the eastern and central United States, the Caribbean, and parts of South America, with approximately 100 daily flights. MAC employs over 200 pilots and maintains multiple crew bases to support its operations, including hubs in key regional airports. Known for its reliability and strong partnership with FedEx, Mountain Air Cargo plays a critical role in connecting smaller communities and markets to larger logistics networks.

  • 1800 hours Total time

  • 300 Multi Engine Land

  • 100 Instrument (75 must be in aircraft)

  • 100 Turbine*Exceptions can be made based on type of previous experience

ATR First Officer Requirements:

  • 1500 TT (or RATP minimums as applicable)

  • 500 PIC

  • 50 MEL

  • Commercial or Restricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Multi-Engine Land (ATP-CTP provided for new hires)

  • 1st Class Medical

  • Current Passport

  • US Citizen or U.S. Work authorization

ATR Captain Requirements:

  • 2500 TT

  • 500 PIC

  • 1000 MEL

  • 300 Turbine / Turboprop

  • Meet FAR 121.436(a)(3)

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Multi-Engine Land

  • 1st Class Medical

  • Current Passport

  • US Citizen or U.S. Work authorization

Mountain Air Cargo will provide new hires or upgrades with an approved ATP-CTP course.

MAC will consider qualified new hires as direct entry Captain for the ATR and C408

Captains will sit in either seat - left or right - and still receive Captain's pay.
