Boeing 737 Pilot Hiring Minimums

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen or have resident alien status (green card)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • B737 Type rating preferred, but not required

  • ATP - airplane multiengine land

  • Current FAA First Class medical certificate (waivers only accepted on a case by case basis)

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.

Captain Minimums (hired straight in as a Captain)

  • 4500 total time - will consider 4000 TT w/ significant experience in aircraft over 80,000 lbs MTOW

  • 500 hours turbojet/turbofan

  • 1000 hours flying SIC under Title 14 USC Part 121 or PIC Part 135 (unless "grandfathered")

First Officer Minimums

  • 1500 total flight time (2000 preferred)

  • 500 hours multiengine turboprop or multiengine jet

Shorts SD3-60 Pilot Hiring Minimums

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen or have resident alien status (green card)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Commercial Pilot - airplane multiengine land

  • Current FAA First Class medical certificate (waivers only accepted on a case by case basis)

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, 5-year background check, 10-year criminal history check and security threat assessment.

Note:  Shorts SD3-60 aircraft operate under Part 135 (no maximum age limitation).

Captain Minimums (hired straight in as a Captain)

  • ATP

  • 2000 total time

  • 1000 multiengine land

  • 500 turbine

Flow-Through Jet Transition: 135 Transair Shorts SD3-60 Captains who are recommended by the SD3-60 Chief Pilot are eligible to transition to 121 Transair B737 First Officers.

First Officer Minimums

  • FAA Commercial pilot’s certificate

  • 500 total time desired, 300 considered

  • 100 multiengine land desired, 60 considered
