Amerijet International

Amerijet International is a prominent cargo airline founded in 1974 and based in Miami, Florida. The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 767 freighters with a total of 14 aircraft. Amerijet provides scheduled and chartered cargo services to over 38 destinations in North America, the Caribbean, and Latin America. It is particularly noted for its partnership with Maersk, operating Boeing 767-300ERF freighters under Maersk’s branding. The airline also offers international services reaching 476 destinations globally, making it a key player in time-sensitive, hazardous, and temperature-sensitive cargo transport.

Amerijet employs a large pilot workforce, primarily based at Miami International Airport (KMIA), and is represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). Pilot Hiring Minimums:

  •  Excellent communication skills and quick and accurate decision making.

  • Must be within the age limits as per the FAA FAR part 121. 

  • Ability to work varying hours of the day or night, on weekends and holidays. 

  • Hold a current unrestricted ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.

  • Valid First-Class Medical Certificate.

  • Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. 

  • Ability to learn and work with EFBs.

  • Must be able to fluently speak and understand English.

  • Hold a valid unrestricted passport.

  • Have a minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.
